SNAIL’S PACE.

“Even a snail will eventually reach its destination.” -Gail Tsukiyama

As we get closer to entering the womb of winter, consider going at a snail’s pace for a time. Allow yourself to slow down, go within, and let go of the need to rush. As the days get shorter, it is the perfect time to rest, repair, and find reprieve. Slow and steady can still get the job done, and it may even allow for more breathing room if you are open to it. The snail teaches us to keep moving toward our goals without keeping track of the speedometer of life. Let go of urgency, let go of stress; if only for today.

Much of the year is spent going at a hare’s pace, so allow yourself some recovery time and let this feel like a welcome respite. Let go over the overwhelm. Slow transitions. Bask in taking naps when you can, sipping your tea or coffee with a smile, wearing your fuzzy socks, and doing the simple things that bring you the most delight.
