“The wound is the place where the Light enters you.” — Rumi
In this immense time of chaos and tragedy that seems to play out regularly on screens, in newspapers and magazines in our country and around the world, there is still a tremendous amount of goodness abound. I am here to remind you of that as it is important to not lose sight of this precious and important fact. Where there is hurt and wounding, there is room for healing and growth. We all interpret the times we are living in differently, just as we all experience different pains and perceptions. We all have our own unique lens through which we view the world.
Looking for the silver lining in these unprecedented times will help to keep your heart lifted. When things feel heavy look for those tiny miracles that cross your path every day. Listen for bird song, the way the sunlight dances across your floor, receiving smiles from strangers or the people you love, enjoying a warm bath at the end of a long day, sharing a meal with someone special in your life, or listening to your favorite music at home or in your car. There are many miracles that happen all the time; the invitation is to start noticing them and celebrating these wins amongst the hard realities we are all going through collectively. Consider small acts of inspiration you can partner with on a daily basis to lift the spirits of others and yourself. I believe one person can make a difference. We each have our own unique gifts to share. Unwrap them and share them abundantly, the world needs you now more than ever. Blessings upon blessings.
