“Sleep is the golden chain that ties our health and bodies together.”- Thomas Dekker
Sleep plays an integral role in your health and wellness. Sleep is something to prioritize in life if you want to truly thrive and operate at the highest level. Sleep is the time where your body repairs itself on a cellular level, restores energy, and sleep is essential for keeping your immunity strong, as well.
I love the visualization of sleep being the “golden chain” or the golden thread that unites our health and body and really can feel that on a deep level.
Sleep is truly the tonic for much of what ails you in life. If you are sick, sleep is the antidote. If you feel lethargic or unmotivated, sleep is the antidote. If you carry a lot of stress, sleep is the antidote. If you want more wellness, health, clarity of mind, and to feel better in your body, sleep is the answer.
Unplug at least an hour before bed, have a sleep hygiene to help you unwind, and aim for no technology in the bedroom. According to the CDC, adults should get 7-8 hours of quality sleep per night; teenagers (13-18 years old) need 8-10 hours per night; school age (6-12 years old) need 9-12 hours per night for optimal results and wellness benefits.
Let sleep be the remedy for more wellness in life. Sleep will help you curl up with better health. Lean on sleep to be the golden thread that unites your mind, body, and spirit.
