SOLSTICE.

“The winter solstice is the time of ending and beginning, a powerful time—a time to contemplate your immortality. A time to forgive, to be forgiven, and to make a fresh start. A time to awaken.” – Frederick Lenz

Winter solstice is a time to pause, reflect and spend time finding stillness. With the shortened days and the waning of the sun it is the perfect time for hibernation and drawing inward, when so much of the rest of the year is spent doing and being out in the world. Revel in this short window of time, where you can rest and renew who you are on every level. Enjoy being cozy, the rich foods, the merriment of the holidays, the celebrations that are all around. Make time to get extra sleep and care for your body and mind as you find ease before welcoming the new year ahead.

Light a candle and watch the flame. Sit with yourself and/ or your loved ones and get quiet and reflect on any joys, sorrows, growth and moments of sweetness during this past year. Be grateful to be right where you are. Embrace today and look forward to the mysteries of tomorrow. Send loving thoughts and kindness outward to help support any of our fellow travelers who suffer during this time of year. Keep a spirit of generosity and gratitude. Spark joy and awakening. Make a snow angel.
