GROW SLOW.

“Smile, breathe and go slowly.”- Thich Nhat Hanh

Like the cactus in the desert, you must teach yourself to grow slowly. We are taught to move quickly in this life, to juggle and over-schedule ourselves to exhaustion in many instances, however, I offer another path. A path of intentionally growing and going slow. No matter how much you have to do on a daily basis, take some of those to-do’s and re-prioritize your time and life wisely. You are indeed the captain of your ship and the old saying of “where there’s a will, there’s a way” can be of use here. If you know something is missing or there is a longing for more space and peace in your life, know that you are resourceful enough to create anything you put your mind to. Trust in that.

If part of you recognizes you’d like to dig deeper into spiritual practices or physical practices, such as yoga, meditation or running sit with those teachings and let them really merge with your whole being. Spend time there, do not rush the teachings. Also, invest time with each thing you choose to do. Really feel into what it is you are learning or what it is life is asking you to learn, sometimes we make the choices and sometimes we are asked to navigate whether or not those choices were of our choosing. Let these practices or life lessons steep deep within your being and let them move you and ground you into the next level of awareness. Dig deep. Grow slow and bloom beautifully.
