“To live, to truly live, one must consider each and every thing a blessing.”- Kamand Kojouri
Treat every day as a divine gift, for indeed it is. When we remember to consciously say “thank you” for all that is, the pleasant, as well as the unpleasant, real consciousness begins to take shape. It is when we move past the space of preference of how things should be, feel and look, and allow for things to take form just as they are, that real transformation can begin to occur. If there are things in your life that you are resisting or feel unhappy about, lean into them instead of pushing them away and see what happens. Perhaps you might be able to shift those things into a better light and find some peace. That which we resist, can often times be our biggest teacher.
It is easy to become complacent in daily life and habituated to routine and patterns, almost like sleep-walking, but when there are those tiny glimpses of clarity that this is not a dress rehearsal and in fact an opportunity to spread our wings, life truly begins. Gifts are everywhere, they want to be found, and they take many forms. Look under the surface and you will begin to see them in abundance. Herbs or flowers in your garden, your morning cup of tea or coffee, a twinkle in someones eye as you pass them on the street, giggling with your children or significant other, a mountain hike, a swim in the ocean, sharing a meal, connecting with old friends, or reading a good book. The list is endless. Every breathe is a miracle. Find your gifts and say your thanks. Leave a gift for someone else.
