“Slow down and everything you are chasing will come around and catch you.” – John De Paola
Make time in your day, everyday, to stop. Stop the doing. Stop the thinking. Stop the busy work. The laundry list of to-dos will always be there. Be intentional about letting these things go, if only for a few minutes, on a daily basis. Creating space for slowing down is such an awesome gift you can give yourself and will create more peace and harmony in your life. You will show up more ready to take on what life has in store for you once you are in a more balanced state.
Don’t rush your life away. Enjoy the small things, the small moments, and take more time to linger. You will feel a difference if you allow for slower transitions from one activity to the next and allow for more time in stillness. It is an amazing shift when you start to practice being slower and letting life come to you. Really look at your life and ponder what is truly important to you and let that be your guide. You instinctively know what you need and crave. Listen. Next time someone you care about asks you to do something with them and you usually say you are “too busy,” drop what you are doing and join them. Drop your own mantra of “too busy” and replace it with “time is abundant.” Let slow be the new fast. Make time for what is truly important. Go slow.
