“If your mind is empty, it is always ready for anything, it is open to everything. In the beginner’s mind there are many possibilities, but in the expert’s mind there are few.” – Shunryu Suzuki
Think with the mind of a child. They are open to all ideas and ways of being. We have much to learn from our children and the way they are able to float from one idea to the next with such ease and excitement for the world around them. Think like a butterfly. It is through cultural conditioning that we start losing some of our flexibility of mind and creativity. Let us remember that we each have such beauty to share with the world and should try to draw on new ideas and ways of existing that are more harmonious with the world around us. Think light, think bright, expand your mind and let new things and people into your realm.
Today see things with fresh eyes, as if it were the first time you were seeing them. Let go of judgment or preconceived ideas of right and wrong. Let life be and just take it in without strings attached. If you are stuck in thought patterns try to release those cyclical thoughts and see the situation from an outside perspective or perhaps let it go altogether if it is not serving you in a way that is most helpful. Clear your mind. Expand your heart. Elevate your awareness of new ideas and ways of being.
