“You are supposed to remain you, come what may. That is the actual strength of your mind when it is clean and clear.” – Yogi Bhajan
Clean space, clear mind. These two are linked. Our physical space impacts our mind space and for this reason, it is important to work towards creating more spaciousness and cleanliness in our lives. Our homes, office space, cars, garage, closets, etc. all are areas where we can benefit from having some organization and tidiness. Productivity, creativity and overall well being will increase if we work towards clearing out the clutter. If there are things you have been hanging onto for years that you do not use but have an attachment to, let them go. See what happens and feel the shift. Clear out your space to allow room for new ideas or new life to be breathed into existence. It will be freeing to let go of things that no longer serve you. Donate these ‘things’ you no longer need and allow them to find life with others who might really need, use and love them. It truly is a win-win.
To take it one step further, you might consider investigating what it feels like to cleanse the energy of your space. Smudging, using sweet grass or sacred herbs can be helpful to lift any negative energy and clear the mind, body and spirit. Invite positivity into your space and allow this purification ritual to help you plant new seeds, and re-center your physical and energetic field. You will bring this freshness with you out into the world and it will be felt by those around you. Breathe new life into old spaces. Refresh, re-set, breathe. Purify and sanctify your favorite places.
